What we do

Three ways to feed a field, a hall or a marquee

Pig & Pickle Catering is an outside catering company based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. We cook hog roasts, barbeques and buffets for weddings, festivals, corporate days and family occasions — anywhere within about 60 miles. Pick the one that fits your day and the page will tell you exactly how it works.

Why us

Thirty years, and the same chef every time

There are cheaper caterers and there are slicker ones. What you get here is a chef with 30 years behind the pass who is personally on site for every event he quotes.

You are hiring a chef

Adam quotes your event, writes your menu, lights the fire and carves. Not a sales office that subcontracts the cooking.

Cooked on your site

Nothing is finished in a commercial unit and reheated in a van. The fire is lit where your guests are standing.

The whole kitchen travels

Gas, generator, refrigeration, lighting, service equipment, hand-washing and waste. You provide level ground.

One honest per-head price

Staff, equipment, service and clear-up are already in the number. No delivery line and no staffing surcharge at the end.

The chef

Meet Adam Skinner, who will be the one cooking

He has cooked professionally for thirty years — restaurant kitchens first, outdoor events for the last stretch. A 300-cover field is not a new problem to him, and neither is a wedding where the timings have slipped by an hour.
30years of professional cooking

“I quote it, I cook it and I carve it. If something goes wrong on the day, I am the person standing there — which is the only reason it usually does not.”

02

Hold the date

Hold your date with a 25% deposit against an emailed invoice by UK bank transfer. Your date is locked into the diary as soon as it is received.

03

We do the rest

Adam calls a week out to confirm numbers, timings and access, then turns up with the kitchen, the fire and the team. The balance is due 14 days before.

References, gladly

We would rather point you at people who have actually booked us than publish quotes you have no way of checking. Ask and we will put you in touch with recent customers with similar events.
